Información general

  1. What is TravelPass and how much does it cost?

Instead of paying per minute, per message, or per MB, you'll be charged a flat rate with TravelPass. The daily rate is:

    • $5/day in Mexico and Canada (included with the new Verizon Plan Unlimited, Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited)

    • $10/day in other countries where TravelPass is available (5 TravelPass days per month included with Above Unlimited).

You'll use your minutes, messages and data allowances from your domestic plan. UU.

Note: TravelPass isn't available on cruise ships and non-covered countries. Visit our TravelPass countries page for more information.

  3. How does TravelPass work and when will I be charged for it?

When you arrive in a TravelPass country and turn on your device, you'll receive an international welcome text message. Your 24-hour access to TravelPass won't begin until you make or receive a phone call, send a text or use data.

Within 2 hours of triggering TravelPass, you'll receive a text message letting you know when your 24-hour session will end. If you continue to use your device after the 24-hour session, you'll be charged another daily fee and get another 24-hour session.

Note: If you have Above Unlimited, TravelPass charges will begin on day 6 of your trip. Your first 5 TravelPass 24-hour sessions are included with your plan.

Stop using your device before your 24-hour session ends to avoid being charged for another daily fee for TravelPass. We also recommend turning off your device roaming setting or placing the device in Airplane Mode to prevent accidental charges. You won't be charged again until the next time you use your device internationally.

Note: You're only charged 1 daily fee per 24 hours for TravelPass, even if you travel within multiple covered countries.

  4. Do I have to opt-in every day to use TravelPass?

No, you don't need to opt-in every day. A new 24-hour session starts if you make or receive a phone call, send a text or use data.

  5. I'm traveling outside of the US, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. Which countries can I call with TravelPass?

If you're in a TravelPass country, you can use TravelPass to call phone numbers within the country you're in, or US numbers too.

If you plan to call countries other than the US or the country you're in, or you plan to travel to a country not covered by TravelPass, you’ll need to add international service to your account in Mi Verizon or the My Verizon app.

If you call a country other than the US or the country you're visiting with TravelPass, you'll be charged the international rate for that country. UU.) .

  6. Which devices are eligible for TravelPass?

TravelPass is available on 4G World Devices, including smartphones, tablets, Mobile Hotspots, Verizon Jetpacks and USB modems.

    5. Tap Check if my device will work outside of the US.
  7. I reached the daily high speed data limit on TravelPass. How do I get more high speed data?

You have the option to purchase more high speed data if you use your daily allowance on TravelPass, or if you have an unlimited plan with Mexico and Canada included. Así es como funciona.

    • We'll send you a text message with an offer for an additional 0.5 GB of high speed data to use during the same 24-hour session.
      • The fee is $5 in Mexico and Canada and $10 in all other TravelPass countries.
    • If you respond yes to this text message, you'll receive another 0.5 GB of high speed data to use in the same 24-hour session. You can purchase additional 0.5 GB of high speed data multiple times during a single 24-hour session.
    • Any purchased high speed data is limited to a single 24-hour session and does not roll over.

Additional high speed data sessions are not available in Cyprus, Gibraltar and Greenland.

  8. How will I be charged if I travel to a country that's not included in TravelPass?

If you have TravelPass but go to a country that isn't covered by it, then Precios del servicio prepagado applies.

When traveling near the border of 2 countries, your wireless device may connect to a neighboring country's network, particularly if that network is transmitting a stronger signal than the network of the country you're in. If your device connects to a new network, we'll send you a free welcome text message stating the rates that apply while using that network.

  9. Do I need to cancel TravelPass when I return to the US?

No, you don't need to cancel TravelPass when you return to the US.

  10. I've returned home from my trip, but I just received a message about TravelPass. What does it mean?

When using TravelPass internationally, you'll receive the following text when an hour remains on your daily session:

"Your daily TravelPass session will finish in 1 hour. After that, if you're still abroad and use talk, text or data, another daily session will be triggered."

If you're out of the coverage area or have your device turned off, you may receive the alert when you've arrived home. If you're no longer abroad, you won't be charged for a TravelPass session.
