Cómo configurar enrutadores para el extensor de red

If you have a 4G LTE Network Extender:

Please refer to this guide if after more than an hour after installation, the LED light on your Network Extender is blinking blue and the device's display has not progressed further than step 8 of the startup process. Additional router configuration may be needed due to firewall settings or other custom settings. These specific ports and IP Addresses must be unblocked on your router's firewall or settings for the Network Extender to work properly.

If you have a 3G Network Extender:

This guide may help if the System LED on your Network Extender continuously alternates from solid red to quickly flashing red. Additional router configuration may be necessary due to restrictive firewall settings or other custom settings. These specific ports and IP Addresses must be unblocked on your router's firewall or settings for the Network Extender to work properly.

Instrucciones

Selecciona el tipo de enrutador que tienes y sigue las instrucciones para configurarlo:

Note: Before following the instructions below, please note that Verizon does not own or support third party routers. These instructions are provided as guidance on how to use them with the Verizon Wireless Network Extender. We are not responsible for the effects of any configuration settings.

Comcast Cable Routers

See the instructions below for how to configure your Comcast Cable Router to work with your Network Extender:

  1. Access the admin portal of the router with a device connected to your router, open an internet browser and enter: http://10.0.0.1

  2. Enter username and password. For username type "admin" and for password type "password". If you need additional assistance, visit Find and Change Your Wireless Gateway Network Name (SSID) and Password (Network Key) página.

  3. Next, access the following menus:

    1. Gateway
    2. Conexión
    3. Local IP Configuration
    4. In the setting for IPv4 change the Gateway Address from 10.0.0.1 to 192.168.0.1
  4. Go to Connected Devices and select Computers

    1. Wait for the Network Extender to show in the menu as Connected via Ethernet, which will show both IP and MAC addresses. When the device name appears, record the IP address for the next step. For 4G Network Extender, the IP Address can also be found by pressing the display button until it is displayed on the screen.

Note: If the IP Address does not appear within 30 minutes, reboot the Network Extender.

If the Network Extender does not show in the next 30 minutes, then call Comcast for Technical Support (800) 934-6489.

  5. Navigate to Advanced, then DMZ menu to enable the DMZ for the Network Extender.

    1. Select Enable DMZ
    2. Enter the Network Extender's IP address from Step 4 above and select Save.
  6. For a 3G Network Extender: Wait at least 10 minutes after making the updates to verify that the SYS light on your Network Extender is no longer fast blinking red.

The SYS light should go to slow blinking red, then the GPS LED will turn blue and finally the SYS will be blue as well.

Your 3G Network Extender is fully operational when all 4 LEDs are blue.

  7. For a 4G Network Extender: Wait at least 10 minutes after making updates to verify that the LED light is solid blue. Your Network Extender is fully operational when the LED light is solid blue and it displays "In Service" or "Verizon 4G LTE."

How to configure your Time Warner Cable Technicolor Router to work with your Network Extender:

  1. To access the admin portal of the router, open up an internet browser with a device connected to your router and enter: http://192.168.1.1. or http://192.168.0.1. Either will work.

  2. Enter your username and password. For username enter "admin" and for password enter "password".
    1. If this username and password combination doesn't work, please inspect the stickers on the back or bottom of the router (that may show under "Network Key") or contact Time Warner Cable customer service at (800) 892-4357.

  3. Select Firewall on the left menu under Gateway

  4. Change security level to "Minimum Security (Low)"

  5. Select Save Settings

For a 4G Network Extender: Wait at least 10 minutes after making updates to verify that the LED light is solid blue. Your 4G Network Extender is fully operational when the LED light is solid blue and it displays says "In Service" or "Verizon 4G LTE."

Time Warner Cable Arris Router

How to configure your Time Warner Cable Arris Router to work with the Network Extender:

  1. To access the admin portal of the router, open up an internet browser with a device connected to your router and enter: http://192.168.1.1. or http://192.168.0.1. Either will work.

  2. Ingresa tu nombre de usuario y contraseña. For ARRIS models that start with TG or DG for username enter "admin" and for password type "password".

    1. If this username/password combination doesn't work, please check the stickers on the back or bottom of the router or contact your Internet Service Provider.

  3. Access the Firewall menu

  4. Make sure the following boxes have a check mark:

    • Enable Firewall
    • Enable IPSec Pass Through
    • Enable PPTP Pass Through
    • Enable L2TP Pass Through

For a 4G Network Extender: Wait at least 10 minutes after making updates to verify that the LED light is solid blue. Your 4G Network Extender is fully operational when the LED light is solid blue and it displays says "In Service" or "Verizon 4G LTE."

Enrutadores D-Link

Here's how to configure your router:

We recommend that you have the latest router firmware or software before starting the configuration process. Visit D-Link’s website for instrucciones sobre cómo actualizar tu programación en firme.

  1. Make sure your IPSec (VPN) passthrough is enabled and supported. Please see the Specifications tab on D-Link's router product page para obtener más información.

  2. Make sure the following ports are enabled:
    • 123 UDP
    • 4500 UDP
    • 500 UDP
    • 53 TCP / UDP
    • 52428 TCP / UDP

Older model routers might require port forwarding. Visit D-Link’s FAQ page to learn how to create a port forward rule.

Note: You may need to know the IP Address assigned to Network Extender by your router in order to forward ports. This can be found by going into your router's DHCP settings and finding the IP Address that is assigned to the Network Extender's MAC ID# / Address. The Network Extender's MAC ID is found on a sticker under the unit. For a 4G Network Extender, the IP Address can also be found by pressing the display button until it is displayed on the screen.

Please refer to your router's User Guide, or contact your router manufacturer to assist with configuring the above settings. Además puedes encontrar más información buscando en la D-Link's Support website para obtener instrucciones sobre temas como la redirección de puertos o la configuración de QoS (calidad del servicio).
