Here are instructions for assigning/editing Smart Family roles. For additional info on Smart Family, visit our Smart Family FAQs.

Nota Notas:

  • Parent devices can monitor activity and contacts and manage limits for child lines.

    • use a desktop or laptop computer with an up to date web browser (e.g., Chrome™, Edge, Safari®, etc.).

Agregar una línea para niño

  1. En un navegador de Internet, inicia sesión en  Mi Verizon.
    Nota If using a smartphone or tablet, refer to the Android® o Apple® iOS instructions.
  2. From the My Verizon home screen, navigate: Plan > My Plan & ServicesAdministrar Verizon Smart Family.
  3. Click the Primary Parent line.
  4. From the left menu, click Settings to expand.
  5. Click Nicknames & roles.
  6. From the 'Name your devices' section, click the 'Role' dropdown menu next to the associated mobile number.
  7. Select Child.
  8. Edit the first and last name if desired.
  9. Click Save my changes (lower-right).

Edit or Remove a Role

  3. Click the Primary Parent line.
  4. From the left menu, click Settings to expand.
  5. Click Nicknames & roles.
  6. From the Name your devices section, click the 'Role' dropdown menu next to the associated mobile number.
  7. Selecciona la opción deseada:
    Nota Only 2 devices can be set as parent and the Account Owner is the primary parent.
    Nota To enable a device as a parent, the mobile number must be an Account Manager in My Verizon.
    • Padre
    • Niño
    • Not assigned
  8. Edit the first and last name if desired.
  9. Click Save my changes (lower-right).
