Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Set Up SOS Messages

Nota Notas:

  • In any emergency situation, you can send a message to an emergency contact by quickly pressing the power key 3 times.
  • A notice of your approximate location is sent to the mobile phone of a chosen contact.
  • Up to 4 emergency contacts can be registered on the device.


  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Nota These instructions only apply to modo estándar and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Ícono Settings > Advanced features > Send SOS messages.
  3. Tap the OFF switch Icono de interruptor de apagado (upper-right) to turn ON Ícono de encendido.
  4. If presented, tap OK.
  5. To continue, review the Terms and conditions then select (check) the agreement option and tap Agree.
  6. From the 'Create emergency contact' message, tap Add.
    Nota An emergency contact must be created for SOS messages to turn on.
  7. From the 'Add recipient' message, perform one of the following:
    Nota To change the contact later, tap Send messages then tap 'Add' or 'Delete'.
    • To create a new emergency contact:
      1. Tap Create contact.
      2. Enter a name and 10-digit number.
      3. Oprime Guardar.
    • To use an existing contact for the emergency contact:
      1. Tap Select from contacts.
      2. Tap the desired contact(s) to select (check).
      3. Oprime Done.
  8. Tap the Back icon Ícono Atrás (upper-left) to return to the 'Send SOS messages' screen.
  9. Tap Attach pictures to turn on or off.
    Nota Message will include a snapshot taken by the front and rear camera.
  10. Tap Attach audio recording to turn on or off.
    Nota Message includes a 5-second audio recording.
