Samsung Galaxy J7 V / J7 (2nd Gen.) - Add a Virtual Private Network

A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).

Nota Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up then navigate: Settings Ícono Settings > Connections > More connection settings.
  2. Tap VPN.
  3. Oprime el ícono Menu Ícono de menú (esquina superior derecha).
  4. Tap Add VPN profile.
  5. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
    Nota Consulta Configurar bloqueo de pantalla (pattern, PIN, or password only) for assistance.
  6. En el campo "Name", ingresa el nombre apropiado.
  7. From the 'IPsec connection type' field, tap the Dropdown menu Icono de menú desplegable then select the appropriate VPN type:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSec PSK
    • L2TP/IPSec RSA
    • IPSec Xauth PSK
    • IPSec Xauth RSA
    • IPSec Hybrid RSA
  8. Enter the appropriate info into the applicable fields then tap Save (lower-right).
    Nota If applicable, tap Show advanced options to configure the following:
