One Talk Desk Phone - Check Internet Connectivity

  • Verifying the IP address on the desk phone ensures the phone is communicating with the router; this doesn't necessarily mean the phone has access to the internet. Visita One Talk Ports and Protocols for correct internet settings on the router and desk phone.

 

  1. Check for proper installation:
    1. If not connected via Power over Ethernet (PoE), ensure the phone is properly plugged into a functional AC outlet.
    2. Ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Ethernet port on the back of the phone.
    3. Ensure the switch or hub in your network is operational.
  2. Check phone status to view network WAN IP address to confirm the device has received an IP address from the router.
    • T41 model:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > IP address
    • T41S/SW, T42S and T46S/SW models:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > IPv4 Address / IPv6 Address
    • T46/46G model:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > IPv4
    • T49 model:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > Network > IPv4
    • VZP59 model:
      Nota Swipe to the second idle screen then navigate: Settings > Network
    • CP860 conference model:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > Network > Ipv4
    • One Talk DECT IP Cordless Phone - W56HV Handset model:
      Nota Navigate: OK Navigational Key > Status > Base
    • CP920 conference model:
      Nota Navigate: Menu > Status > IPv4
