Samsung Galaxy Tab E (8.0) - Add a Virtual Private Network

A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
 

Nota Notas:

  • Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  • Here's how to check what versión de software your device is running.

 

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Nota These instructions only apply to the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Ícono Settings > Connections > More connection settings.
    Nota For software version 7.1.1 or earlier, navigate: Settings > More.
  3. Tap VPN.
    Nota If presented, tap Basic VPN.
  4. Tap ADD VPN (upper-right).
  5. If presented with a secure screen lock notification, tap OK.
    Nota Consulta Configurar bloqueo de pantalla (patrón, PIN o contraseña solamente) para obtener asistencia.
  6. En el campo Name, ingresa el nombre apropiado.
  7. From the Type field, tap the Dropdown menu icon Icono de menú desplegable then select the appropriate VPN type:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSec PSK
    • L2TP/IPSec RSA
    • IPSec Hybrid RSA
    • IPSec Xauth PSK
    • IPSec Xauth RSA
    • IPSec IKEv2 PSK
    • IPSec IKEv2 RSA
  8. Enter the Server address then tap SAVE (lower-right).
    Nota If applicable, tap Show advanced options to configure the following:
