Activate / Set Up Device - Nexus 6

If you are upgrading your existing Verizon device, follow these steps to activate before proceeding with the instructions below.

Nota Notas:

  • Si estás configurando el dispositivo por primera vez (recién sacado de la caja), asegúrate de que la tarjeta SIM esté insertada.
  • Las cuentas (por ej. Gmail, correo electrónico, etc.) deben configurarse después de activar el dispositivo (ver Temas relacionados).
  • To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

Bring Your Own Device from Another Carrier Activation Method


Verizon Wireless Device

  1. If powered off, press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge) until the Google logo appears then release.
  2. Select the appropriate language option then tap Get started!
    Nota Espera varios segundos para que se complete la activación.
  3. From the 'Welcome to you Nexus 6' screen, select one of the following:
    • Copy your data
      Nota If selected, follow the onscreen instructions to copy content from another Android device.
    • Set up as new
  4. From the 'Wi-Fi' screen tap Connect to Wi-Fi later then tap CONTINUE.
  5. If presented, from the 'Verify your account' screen, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on the device.
  6. From the 'Protect your phone' screen, tap Not now then tap SKIP ANYWAY.
  7. If presented, tap any of the following to turn On Interruptor en On o desactivar Interruptor en Off then tap NEXT:
    • Automatically back up device data
    • Use Google's location services to help apps
    • Improve location accuracy
    • Help improve your Android experience
  8. Toca Continue (Continuar).
  9. To accept default Google app permission settings tap Yes, I'm in.
  10. Tap ALL SET.




Bring Your Own Device from A Different Carrier

  1. If you want to bring your own device from a different carrier to Verizon, refer to Usar Mi Verizon para activar un teléfono - BYOD.
