Damaged device fee question

I bought an iPhone X a little more than a month ago, the speaker since day 1 has begun crackling at high volume. Today, the certified like new replacement came in, my question is my old iPhone X has scratches on the stainless steel and display. These scratches are barely visible. They’re only visible if you shine a light directly on the display, they can be felt if you run your fingernail over them. The stainless steel scratches are less visible, will I be charged a damaged device fee?

No, that is considered normal wear and tear. I've never heard of someone getting charged for such minor "scratches" on a device. You will be fine.
