I have a Droid Turbo 2 that just went for a swim. The phone still works fine but the screen is now nonresponsive and black. My question is this: Is there a way to recover the texts from the phone since I'm still getting texts? I got a replacement phone but i guess I didn't have text messaging selected to backup to the cloud. I don't have usb debugging enable so i can't try these online applications that I've read about. My only thought is to enable text backup for cloud then put my new sim card in my old phone and wait for the next backup time. Will it include the messages from my old phone?

Oh wow, not a fun thing to have to deal with. Now without access to the screen itself there would not be a way to specifically back up your text through any Verizon services. Is this a standard app you are using or have you enrolled in any other application service?

Do you use Verizon Messages+? If so, try to use it on the web. All the texts may show there. As far as getting them back onto your new replaccement that is another thing.

I used Messages+ for both my old phone and new phone, but it didn't seem to have saved my messages from my old phone

That's a bummer frkitchen. With your text messages, if it was not selected to be backed up, there is no way for your messages to come through. I know that you mentioned new phone, did you have the selected to be backed up now? We want to make sure this does not happen again.
