I am in Nassau, Bahamas. I paid for global service before I left Minnesota. How do I get service here in Nassau, only need phone and text, not data

Sounds like an awesome trip jbrimeyer6626! Let’s make sure you can stay in touch while you are traveling. Are you using your Verizon SIM card or have you gotten a SIM card from the local carrier?> Have you checked to ensure roaming is turned on? This is in Settings>Cellular>Roaming>Voice Only is set to ON. What signal and bars is your phone showing?

Data overages are unavoidable. Bahamas cell service is sparse- data is worse. Use app VIBER and pick up a phone and prepaid sim at BTC
