My device stalled when downloading cloud content. How do I restart the process?

I just got a new galaxy s6, dropped my 2 week old s6 in the ocean. Dead. I was trying to reload pics, texts, etc from the cloud and it stalled. Not sure how to restart it. Can anyone help? The insurance claim took forever so I have 4 days worth of texts I never received.
