I have a Galaxy S4 and the steps are as follows:

Go to an app called "My files", select All Files, select Device Storage, select DCIM, select Camera, select the photos you want to transfer, select more options (icon that looks like 3 bars and a arrow), select Move, select SD memory Card.

Your phone if different might have a little different menu path.
