Why can't I find my contacts that were stored in my iCloud?

I have lost my contacts from icloud. I received a replacement phone. I followed all instructions. But when it came to my contacts I cannot seem to view them. I have restored my back up several times. When restoration is done, I do see all my contacts but then they go MIA within secs. I also used the backup assistant and that brought back old numbers I had before, but none of the ones that I have now. What can I do to get them all back?

I know how important it is to have access to your contacts! Let's get this figured out. Have you tried the backup via iTunes or only iCloud? Please try via iTunes, using this link:

I was able to get them back when I went into text message and went thru the alphabet. They brought the contacts up and I just had to add them again to list.
