I got SLAMMED by an independent Verizon Dealer. I upgraded from my Droid Mini to the LG G4 only to find out the $450 upgrade costs $600. Verizon Customer Service said to take the phone back under the 14 day return policy. The Verizon Dealer said the 14th day doesn't count. So I again called Customer Service while still at the store. They said independent dealers can charge anything they want and there's nothing they can do about it. Customer Service then called the dealer on another line, and he agreed to swap out the LG G4 for a Motorola Droid Maxx. As soon as I hung up with Customer Service he said the Droid Maxx wasn't available and I was stuck with paying $600 for a $450 phone. Which, according to my upgrade options, is now worth $85. Do we have to verify credentials for every Verizon Store we go into?
