Perhaps a Verizon rep will respond to you here. Otherwise all others here are customers like you. I received a confirmation email immediately after my order was placed which was 8 minutes after ordering started. It included an order number and ship date. If VZW doesn't respond here you may want to call customer service to verify.
Sometimes the system can get bogged down with all of the pre-order activity. If you haven't received an email it'll probably arrive sometime soon. If you really want to be sure that the pre-order was complete, sign in to your Verizon account, select the phone you're upgrading (if you are) and you should see that it's pending a upgrade an won't allow you to move forward. If the phone you're upgrading still shows that you can, then there is a great chance that the pre-order wasn't successful. Hope this helps and best of luck to you.
I also started my preorder on the my Verizon app at 1:58am central time, got all the way to the end and the last screen said "your all set". Finished with the order at 2:03am. I have gotten no confirmation email nor does it show up in my orders, but under the agreements section I have a new Verizon Edge Installment Agreement for 10/27/17 that shows a customer copy of the payment plan agreement for the X. Still very leery that it actually went through though since I didn't get a confirmation email.
Is it a family account? It ended up sending the email confirmation to my father, even though my userid and wireless contact information has MY email address. That was rather frustrating.

I too have ordered the Iphone X. no confirmation email but order is processing. due to arrive on the 15th. I already got my box to send back my old phone. Can i wait till i get my new phone before i send it in?
This has also happened to me. But with mine i ordered two phones and only one went through. Now i have spent ALL WEEK on the phone with Verizon with every supervisor saying they will get this done for me and jump the line. Since friday they said this and still no one knows and now the date says 12/6! a month waiting list! My other phone is coming tomorrow! I am so upset with the service I received and all the lies each supervisor told me saying this would be taken care of asap. Every time you talk to someone no one knows what the other supervisor said. SO frustrating! Terrible communication! Now it looks like I will be waiting till DEC to get my other phone
