Apple Music Family Plan on the new plans Aug 5, 2019

Hello, can someone answer this if they know.. The new plans just came out on Monday, and the one I'm nteresting in says it included Apple Music. Here's my situation..

I have 1 line with Verizon (only me)

I already subscribe to Apple Music Family Plan separatly from Verizon, this allows 6 users to listen simultaneously, which does not have anything to do with Verizon.

The Apple Music Family plan is $14.99 per month

On the new calling plans from Verzion, will they now waive the $14.99 for my current Apple Music, or will they downgrade my Apple Music to the Indivudual plan that is $9.99?

On the one plan that is listed as 6 months free of Apple Music, it appears to be the $9.99 per month option when you look at the plan details. The plan details weren't clear on the Verizon Wireless plans where Apple Music was included.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

There is no option for Apple Music Family Plan thru Verizon.  If you change to one of the unlimited plans that offers Apple Music, and you already have it, just don't sign up for the Apple Music subscription thru Verizon.  You'll keep what you have.  You just won't be using one of the benefits of  the plan.  And no, Verizon won't cut your cost because you're not using it.

Great question, we know it is important to get the correct details about our new plans and Apple Music, and we want to make sure we provide you with the help you need. The Apple Music offered through Verizon wireless is on an individual basis. If you already have Apple Music in a family plan, the Verizon Apple Music will not cover the cost for this service. We hope this information is helpful.

Apple Music with those plans is the single 9.99 version. If you already have a family subscription, you don't need to sign up for it.

Is this still the case? Is there no way to have Verizon cover the 9.99 and pay the extra $5 to Apple?

We certainly want to see your whole family rocking. The Apple Music feature we offer is still an individual option.

I have 3 lines on my account and I am interested in the Play More Unlimited plan. If the devices are all on different iCloud accounts does this mean that only one will get the Apple Music benefit? If so which one?

The Apple Music for free subscription is based on the plan per line. Each line needs the enrollment through My Verizon, and each line would setup Apple Music for their own Apple ID account.

I know this is old but I could not find out the answer to this since its on an individual plan basis and we had three people using the account. You can still use Family Sharing but in order for you to have the free verizon accounts you have to do the following for each line.

1. The Administrator has to remove the lines from Family Sharing (We did not lose anything when we did this. We told the phone to keep a backup)

2. Enroll the lines to Apple Music and click the link in the SMS Message

3. Sign in to Apple Music with the Apple ID for each device (Should all be different)

4. Set back up the family sharing from the Administrators account (We merged the data when prompted setting them back up)

5. Since each account has a different Apple Music subscription they will no longer share the playlist's automatically. If you want to share the playlist you can go into them from the phone that has them and share them via SMS to each device.

Hope this helps, Its not the same as a family plan with apple music but its close and you get to use the free subscription they give you.
