Sometimes when I receive a text message the sound comes in as static. It happened today when I was on the phone with a VZ wireless rep making changed to my account. Has anyone else had this happen?

I will be happy to help. Please tell me more information. What is the make and model of your phone? What happens if you try to change the sound of the notification? What kind of alert sound are you using for your notification (factory default or third party download)?
