My mother and father ordered us all iPhone 7 Pluses in the 128gb configuration on 9/14/16. My father and I both ordered the same phone in matte black, and were both promised an expected delivery date of 10/19/16. As time progressed my order status would change to "Your order is currently being processed. Please check back later." and the string that once featured my promised expected shipping date was changed to read "Please check again later.".
Then on 10/7/16, my fathers phone shipped out and he received it just days later. Upon initially speaking to the Verizon sales rep, he told me that orders are fulfilled in the order in which they are received. So in this instance, it would be plausible to think that since my father and I have ordered the same phone at the same time (with my fathers order number being: 289700 and mine being: 289702), I would get the next iPhone in Verizon's circulation or at least in the coming days, right? Wrong, its been 11 days since his phone shipped out and mine is still hanging, with only a day left in the once promised delivery period. To further my frustration, I've just learned a friend of mine (who has verizon in the same region of North Carolina) ordered his on 9/16/16 and has received the same iPhone 5 days ago, which is a whole two weeks before his expected delivery date. All the while, I'm stuck here wondering if I will ever get a change in status before the end of the month.
What the %$#* is going on Verizon? This is supposed to be the most premium cell phone provider in the country, certainly owns up to it in cost, so inherently I expect more from this company. This is unacceptable.
You are correct. The phones ship out in the order they were received. There is a possibility that your order (being 2 behind your fathers) is on the next delivery.
Understand that the shipping date is expected not promised. While yes, you should have definitely received your device before your friend, it's possible he ordered faster shipping, etc. I would recommend not cancelling the order because if you do, you will be at the back of the line again. You would be waiting until early December to get the phone. Best thing you can do is call VZW and see if there is a ticket they can open with the warehouse to find out what's going on, or biting your lip until you receive the device.
