Verizon accessory pack scam

I decided to call an upgrade my iPhone 6 to the 7 with a sale person. Before she completed my phone order she had me order a 70 dollar accessory pack to avoid an 20 dollar activation fee in ( not the 20 upgrade fee). After doing this I called my sister who had upgraded in store. Stated it I had just fallen prey to a scam since I already have service with Verizon I only had to pay a 20 dollar upgrade fee And not both.  So the  fee she told me I was avoiding by getting the   accesory pack didn't  exist in the first place. if anyone knows away to cancel accessories please let me know.

Did you go to a Verizon Wireless Direct Corporate Store or an Authorized Retailer?

If you went to the Authorized Retailer, they are able to charge you both, as well as this "accessory pack". It's not really a scam, it's just different as if you went to a direct store.

You can check your receipt if your not sure if you went to authorized or direct (it will say something like Diamond Wireless below Verizon Wireless).
