why would "My device" on verizon wirelessdotcom reflect a phone different than the one I'm actually using?

On the full website(from my laptop) the "My Device" section is actually not showing the phone I'm using. IUt shows a different meid, and says "NON VZW DEVICE" but I'm using the phone i bought from Verizon and currently make my payments on. My phone is working fine, but I'm aggravated by the fact that the site does not reflect the phone I'm actually using. My screen is cracked, and I'm interested in upgrading to a new 6S plus, but i cannot go thru the system because it keeps telling me i need to activate the phone I have on the agreement, which is currently activated and being used(by me!)

Hi bwagner71! I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your device displaying correctly on My Verizon. We can certainly work together to help resolve this matter. May I ask when this issue began? Did your device previously display correctly, or did it recently change?

My devices previously displayed correctly. My screen is shattered and I

tried swapping over to an older iPhone until I could get my iPhone 6

repaired. I used the older phone for less than a day and decided I'd rather

use my broken IPhone 6 than use the older phone, so I swapped them back. I

went thru the steps online and activated my current "edge" plan iPhone 6

again. Now it doesn't show up correctly when I sign into "My Verizon"

online..

Hi bwagner71!

So sorry to learn about the screen of your phone, and the confusion about your Device Payment plan. When you log into My Verizon, what does it show? Do you have insurance on the device?

I do have insurance, I've had it since day one, but the deductible is the

same as being a new IPhone 6S on the edge program, so I'm having a hard

time deciding what to do, I just don't have the money to afford that option

at the moment..

bwagner71,

Thanks for the insight, and verifying that you have insurance on the device. Please allow me to clarify that when you use the Device Payment plan, payments on the full retail are spread throughout the Device agreement. If filing a claim for your phone, the deductible is hundreds less than getting another device agreement. Please give Asurion a call at 888-881-2622 or visit them at phoneclaim.com/verizon
