iPhone 6s won't connect to wifi

ive had my iPhone for two years but it will randomly drop my wifi when I'm at my house without asking me forcing me to use data I don't want to use. Sometimes depsite the fact that I'm right next to the router will say that here is no nearby wif. I have reset my phone, turned airplane mode on and off, reset my router but nothing works. It is forcing me toward my data limit and I don't want to be charged for going over my data when I haven't gone over my data, my phone is forcing me over it. If this issue isn't resolved I'm dropping the iPhone and dropping Verizon because this whole situation is complete BS.

Do you have Wifi Assist on in settings? If so you need to turn it off.

Studball, have you done a speed test on how many Mbps you're receiving from your internet service provider? Is anyone in the house connecting to Wi-Fi at the same time? You can eliminate Verizon and the iPhone as the cause of the problem, because you're able to pull through Cellular data with them.

Studball, we want to make sure your phone is connecting to Wi-Fi. Let's begin troubleshooting your device so that we can fix this issue. Is there any physical or water damage to your device? Is your device up to date with the latest iOS? You can check this by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
