The numbers keep mounting Verizon.  Think it's time to take a closer look at 28.4 update and start figuring out a solution.  This "try this" and "try that" [Removed] is not working.  Resetting seems to only help a very limited number of people.

It would be nice to hear that Verizon is working on a fix for this, or coming out with a new carrier update soon.

shreysirsi Making sure you can place your calls at all times is a must. We can rule out your location as we have no issues reported. Which location is this happening at? Are you able to receive calls? Are you using Wi-Fi calling?

I am having the same issue with the latest version of IOS 10.3.2 and Verizon 28.4. All calls are being dropped and signal reduces to 1 dot/bar and the connection when not in use bounces back to a good signal. Would like a solution? Have done every manual reset and I am looking for a solution.

   Ratruzz15, there's been a lot of post's and views here at the discussion forum. Would you consider taking the iPhone to an Apple store to get their expertise?

  I have two iPhone 6s plus with Verizon. One was damaged a year ago and had it repaired at an Apple Store. I was very impressed with the Apple Store. They run testing on the iPhone before even attempting a repair to make sure everything is OK with the iPhone. These guys are good, I would highly recommend you have them look at the iPhone. It may not be the carrier update? At least worth getting another opinion from the Apple pro's.

There is definitely an issue with this carrier update. I have a 7 plus and it constantly bounces from three dots to one. Also gets stuck on 1x/3G I frequently have to toggle airplane mode on and off. I've already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps, come on Verizon fix this.

I am sorry to learn you're still having this issue after your carrier update. Carrier updates are pushed out by the phone manufacturer and are meant to improve your experience, so it saddens me to learn that it has caused issues for many of you.

Since a factory reset has not repaired the issue, my next thought is that the carrier update caused a SIM card malfunction for some customers.  Has anyone attempted a new SIM card yet? We can provide a new one for free at any corporate location, or we can order one for you.

Thanks, Salisbury I appreciate your response. Yes, I am planning on taking it into Apple, and agree another opinion is a good idea.  The only hesitation is exactly to your point that there has been a lot of posts on this discussion, and if support has been paying attention they have pretty much all been about the exact same issue, for many of us starting after the carrier 28.4 update.  To me, that speaks volumes more to a software issue be it the 28.4 update or a mix conflict with the iOS 10.3.1 or .2 update from Apple, and not so much a hardware phone issue.  Which is what I am hoping all these posts help Verizon to take a closer look and or work with Apple to determine if there may be an issue between the two.  I am not ruling out the phone itself or simply an iOS issue and will let Apple take a look, it just seems too coincidental for too many of us to all have bad phone service after a carrier update comes across.

I'm convinced that this is an issue with the carrier update. I spoke with Apple and they said the carrier update is issued by Verizon through Apple. I have tried to reset network settings, reset all settings. I finally gave up and reset my phone to ios10.3.2 and the phone ran much better ( 4 bars instead of 1, good lte  speeds, and no call failures).  Unfortunately, the carrier update was installed when I slept and my phone started acting up again. At this point, it would be great if Verizon could take ownership and investigate this issue.
