Retrieving erased text

i have a problem, I erased some text messages that are very important for a court case, I was a victim of a violent crime and before hand I received text with the defendant saying "I'm going to kill you" I need these text for court, is there anyway to get these text.

Have you downloaded anything or written any texts since you deleted them? If not, then do nothing at all. Verizon might have backups. Well, actually, they do. They funnel them to the NSA. So I theory you could retrieve them that way. But, there may be another way. I'll look I to it. For now, lay the phone down and turn it off if you can.
