My iPhone 5s Keeps Randomly Restarting, and Now Will Not Successfully Restart.

Just like title reads, I've had my new phone for two weeks, after updating the newest version of software the phone will sporadically restart unto a blue screen, then back to a dimly lit black screen repeating numerous times until finally successfully restarting. I believe this is a software issue, should I take the phone to the Apple store, or go to Verizon for assistance? Apparently this is a vast problem in a majority of phones on all carriers.

Hey CJH2337, we definitely want to get your new phone up and running in top notch shape! With the software issues you are experiencing, it is best to backup all of your contacts, pictures, and files via Itunes. Once your information is backed up, you will want to do a hard reset. A hard reset will erase all of your information and customized settings on the phone and get it to default factory settings. To do this from your phone you will:

1. Select Settings
2. Select General
3. Select Reset
4. Select Erase All content and settings
5. If prompted, enter your passcode
6. Select Erase phone

You will then be prompted to reactivate the phone and you can use Itunes to do this and restore your information. Keep us posted if this resolves the issue.

You'd have more luck at the Apple store. Verizon reps aren't very capable when it comes to issues like that, just my opinion.
