I placed my order at 3:05AM eastern, my card was charged yesterday (posted, not pending), but the phone still hasn't shipped yet. The order status still just says "ship by 9/24". What gives?

Continue checking your order status with the confirmation e-mail you received after placing your order. Also, check your e-mail for the shipping confirmation. I kept on checking, and I got my tracking number around 5 p.m. today. (9/23)
