Be cautious of using chat to resolve issues

Verizon has finally "mostly" corrected an order to bring a new line to Verizon that was made over chat.  I attempted to order new iPhones in September but during checkout it never asked me about the phone we were trading in so I opened up a chat.  That was a big mistake which resulted in the wrong phone color and no trade-in discount.  It's taken me no less than 10 chats and 4 calls to customer service to resolve (and we all know it's like 30 minutes or longer wait).  Was able to get the phone color switched out but took an additional 3 weeks to get the phone (and they charged me service while correcting the color even though it wasn't activated).  Finally today got the monthly discount for the line and it was for $450 not the $500 that it should have been.  At this point I'm like just leave it alone and accept the $450.  I will never use chat again to 1) place an order or 2) resolve an issue.
