How did you receive the survey in the first place? If it was an email, check the sender information. The survey may be a legitimate Verizon survey, and they want to offer you an incentive - the incentive may not interest you, and there's no obligation to take advantage of it.
If it is not legit, the original email that led you to the survey and the sender of that email is where you should look. Just because someone uses a big corporations name to lure people in, doesn't mean the big corporation is responsible. They often don't know their name is being used, and can't possibly track down all scammy uses of their name. We, as consumers, need to be vigilant and aware, and if something seems fishy, it likely is.
