Usually when there is a promo like this, it is for one, maybe two different phones. If the one you chose isn't one eligible for the offer, it won't work. On the other hand, these forums have several posts about email offers for early upgrades that customers can't redeem anywhere. I would call customer service or go to a corporate store to verify the offer and place the order. If you go to a store, have them look over your current phone for any damage (no matter how minuscule it may be) so you don't get a "damaged device fee." Also keep the tracking number for the old phone so you don't hear later that you didn't return it. It's amazing how may pristine  phones are "lost" or "broken" on the trip back to Verizon.
