My suggestion is to follow the link in #2 here: Preguntas frecuentes sobre controles de correo spam | Verizon Wireless

Once you signed into My Verizon make sure you do not have the option checked to "block all text messages sent from the web."


Outside of this I'm not sure what could cause this. I use an iPhone 6 as well and have had no issues with receiving codes from Whats Up, Google, etc.
