Good description of the setup process.  This is what I did for my home WiFi network and I connected locally to my router fine.  But the BB home screen icon remains the gray one with no connectivity.  A question, when you a logged on at home and you check the network status on the phone, do you have both an IP address and a DNS address?  In my case, I show an appropriate IP address, but for DNS it shows 0.0.0.0
