Re: Using the Bold 9650 on WIFI

I have been unable to fully connect the Bold 9650 via WiFi.  I attempted to connect to my home wireless network which has WPA security.  The connection seemed fine, as the Home Screen of the BB had my network name and the Wi-Fi icon. Also, a check on the phone status indicated an IP address.  However, the Home Screen Wi-Fi icon was the “gray” not the “white” icon.  This gray icon, according to the phone manual, indicates:

“Your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network but does not have access to Blackberry services over the Wi-Fi connection”

Also, checking “Manage Connections”  Wi-Fi is on, but there is no green check-mark.

So, what do I have to do to make Wi-Fi work?  Is there some restriction?  At the time of this test, my home network was working fine with good internet connectivity.  One final check, while the BB indicated an IP address, it did not show a DNS address.
