Are you sure that upgrade wasn't for the Desktop Manager 6.0 software? I don't think that OS6 for the Bold has been released yet. I just checked with my phone update function and it was not available. FYI, I like the new DM6 software, it is easier to use (bluetooth capable) and has more features.
Well Spiral...I could swear that it was OS6 but I will have to look into it to be sure...of course I am sitting here now and not getting the alert (figures!) so I'll have to be patient and wait for it to come back up...
