I just got my first smartphone -- my first cellphone, actually -- today (LG G2). So far the learning curve isn't too bad as I'm setting up accounts and figuring out the apps.
I connected to the internet on our home fios network to set things up. After a couple of hours I found the "mobile data" in Settings and saw that I've used one MB of data: not much, but I'm not understanding why it's registering under something named "mobile".
So -- I'd really appreciate it if someone would explain to this newbie: does this one MB count against my monthly data plan/quota? even though I'm connecting via our FIOS and not a random, Mobile G4 connection?
I really don't know. If it doesn't count against it, is there a way of differentiating between the data I've used from FIOS and the data I might later use via the G4?
Thanks!
