Hi BersaCC,
The info given by silver6056 is correct. The best option is to place the phone in "Airplane Mode" to avoid any unwanted usage. To do this on your model please go to Applications -> Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Airplane mode checked to be on. You will see an airplane appear where the signal normally is.
