Why would an Apple iOS update mess with an Android phone? Did you post in the wrong forum?
Either way, I'd try resetting either your network settings or system. Had a weird problem with my LGv30 where it would crash constantly trying to do so much as access my contacts or dial pad that a factory reset did the trick.
