Apparently I needed to not skim and really read it. Managed to find my own answer, but in case anyone else is interested : "we will upgrade the Alltel network and integrate it into Verizon Wireless’ nationwide voice and advanced broadband network" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a new Verizon customer having moved from Alltel, I've noticed that some of the areas I had good reception from my Alltel phone I have poor reception with my Verizon phone. I've read over the FAQ with Alltel regarding the merger: http://www.alltel.com/wps/portal/AlltelPublic/!ut/p/c0/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3hnP2-DoCBDAwN_HxcnAyNLZ0PLIE9DIN9MvyDbUREAcLGgFQ!!/?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/Personal/home/p/customerservice/annoucements/announcements_merger.html which refers to Alltel 'customers' becoming Verizon 'customers'. I'm curious whether anyone has gotten an answer whether the Alltel network and it's coverage will become available to Verizon customers?
