Power LED Indicates that the base station is receiving power. No illumination indicates there is an issue with the power supply or power connector. System LED Indicates that the base station is properly communicating with the Verizon Wireless network. This light will blink red while establishing the initial network connection. The only time that Verizon should send you the msg to goto pix place to view a pic msg is when you send a picture to a phone that doesn't have pic msging capability. The only other thing that I could think of is that you may have the non picture msging feature on your line in error, and that may be causing the system to make you goto pix place.

You may have blocked all msgs comming from e-mail addresses. Which can be set/changed at www.vtext.com. when you login with your my verizon user/pass then click on preferances then txt blocking.   if you are trying to send a msg from your e-mail to the phone it would be (your number)@vtext.com. sending to your e-mail would be normal just enter the email address in the recipient field. If you get any errors check your account features to make sure that you dont have the premium txt block
Another issue may that you have the "National Access Block" on the line which totally block all data transfers on the phone. Call customer service to have them check the blocks on the line.
