If your computer can connect to WiFi then yes it can gain access through hot spot on your phone.  However, it is going to use your data from your plan so depending on your plan it may or may not be a good idea.  As far Verizon having service for this, yes they do.  They sell individual hot spots that can be added to your plan.  The pricing, and allowed data is going to depend on what plan you have chosen, so without that information its hard to give an idea if it is cost effective or not.  As far as reasonably fast, its going to depend on your location, and again your plan.  Most unlimited plans have a cap on high speed data, then can be lowered depending on traffic in your area.
Doesn't seem correct they don't cover camera issues?   I mean if you just drop the phone and it breaks, they will cover that......

This is not just a Verizon practice, let alone a cell phone practice.  Home phone, internet, and cable generally do the same thing.  You get a certain rate for the first year, then after that the price increases.  Just go to DirecTV.com or dish network and the first thing you see is "29.99" and then in small little letters "for the first year"  And loyalty rewards aren't really a thing.  Your local supermarket doesn't give you a gallon of milk cheaper because you have always shopped there.  Its a consumer product, they will always be battling for new customers so that is where the deal is.

So sams club told you there wouldn't be upgrade fees, you were charged upgrade fees, and you called Verizon?  Why wouldn't you go back to the person who told you there wasn't upgrade fees.    All companies have them.    99 percent of the time they will apply.  No way around them.

Ok- I guess technically it shouldn't be called an upgrade, it should just say your eligible for a new phone.   in order to be eligible for an "upgrade" you would need to be out of a 2 year contract, not currently in the middle of an installment plan, or on certain devises have half the phone paid off in witch case you can give them your current phone in good condition, and get a new phone. Technically your not really upgrading anything, its more so your eligible for a new phone.
The old rewards program is no longer running.  they have anew program called UP that you sign up for on the my Verizon app. Although it is equally as worthless as the old system.
You will be charged the taxes at the time of purchase (actually when the phone is shipped if it is not in stock) and any fee for early delivery.

Phones were always 500-800 bucks.  They do not do 2 year contracts anymore.  In the past a 2 year contract meant, we will give you the phone for a reduced price, you can not get a new phone at discount till the 2 years is up, and if you cancel before the 2 years is up you will pay an early termination fee.    Now they offer financing.  You get charged the full 600-800 bucks, but they split it up into monthly payments with no interest.   You can cancel your service at any time with no early termination fee, however you would be responsible for the remaining balance of your phone.  They went away from the 2 year contract because other companies went away with it, and people complained about being stuck in a 2 year contract when there phones went dead after 12 to 24 months.
trouble tickets will take more than a day to figure out.

Verizon does not due straight up price matching.  The may have a plan that is cheaper than your current plan but will no do a straight price match.  If sprint works better in your area then take the deal.  However their bills go up after time,  your phones are rented, and make sure they are telling all the fees they charge up front.

Did you verify that you ordered the phones after the promotion was over?   Did you print out the chat conversation?  If you have the chat conversation showing they promised the promo you may be able to get a rep that could help.  However if it was out of the promotion time you may be out of luck.  Sometimes you just need to verify for yourself.

Google Netflix outage.   There is no block from Verizon but Netflix may be down.
It is unlimited data, just not unlimited high speed data
what is the question?
did you put the phone on a different line?   Was your phone shipped out on time or in back order?  I know these two things can have a major effect on the credit.

I never understand questions like this. First.  Most every buy you can get, is going to require that you turn in your phone that needs to be paid off in good working condition.  So good luck with that. Second.  You say you have been a customer with Verizon for 7 years so they should owe you a phone.  Please go to the gas station and ask for a free tank of gas because I would assume you have been buying gas for a very long time, or go to the grocery store and ask for a free bag of groceries and see what they say.  Or [removed] don't pay your electric bill for a month and see if they offer a free months of service since you have latterly been paying electric bill your whole life.
