I purchased an iPhone 7 pre-owned from Verizon and have noticed it runs very hot. My iPhone 6 never did this, nor any other phone I've used or owned. It's not scorching hot, but definitely not comfortable to hold for an extended period unless it's in a case. It runs hot when pretty much using any app for a few minutes. I don't believe it's related to charging, but rather to CPU usage or display. I've been through and minimized Background App Usage and Location Services and it hasn't address the issue (though the Settings are identical to what they were on the iPhone 6). I check the Battery usage and it only shows the apps that I have been using. E.g. Facebook, WhatsApp, Camera, ... Is this related to some cheap aftermarket component that's been installed in this phone? E.g. the battery? Verizon gives you 15 days to return the device. Should I ask for a new one?
