As far as all of the issues you are having, you want to make sure that your phone's sofware is up to date. Select the four square menu button in the lower left of the phone. Select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu and select "About Phone." Select "System Updates."   If an update is available, make sure to download it. If no software updates are available/your phone is up to date, I would suggest trying to run the phone in safe mode. Safe mode disables third-party applications and has no adverse efffects on your phone. To test, you can try to take pictures with your camera while in safe mode: Press and hold down the Power Key. Touch Power Off. Touch OK. Press and hold the menu key, then press the power key to power on device Continue holding the Menu key until Safe mode appears in the left corner of the screen. If none of the above works, you will likely need to perform a factory reset of the device. Just make sure to back up your data before doing so, and make sure you know your GMail username and password.

Unfortunately, the home screen not rotating is by design. The only time it will go into landscape mode is when you slide out the QWERTY keyboard.   As far as the other applications are concerned, some applications rotate, and some do not. Then, some pages will, and others will not. It depends on the application developer as to what pages rotate. Now, if sometimes the same page rotates, and then after time it does not, that is hard to explain. It may be a bug in the phone software, or the application software. It is honestly hard to tell.
Navigate to http://start.vzw.com through the browser, then download BUA (short for Backup Assistant).

Assuming you have the Blackberry Curve 3G, we need to perform a "register now" on your device.   From the home screen, hit the Blackberry menu button (the icon with the white dots). Select options (the wrench icon). Select "Advanced Options." Select "Host Routing Table." Once in the Host Routing Table, hit the Blackberry Menu Button. Select "Register Now." A popup will display "Registration Message sent!" - Select ok. Once the above steps are complete, your phone may take a few minutes (5-10) to gain access to data. If not, you can pull the battery. If that does not work to resolve your issue, I would advise calling and speaking with tech support.   -TampaMike

Actually, this error occurs because the Blackberry OS version has to be version 5.0 or higher. Version 4.X will not work. You would want to download the Blackberry Desktop Software (http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/), and update your device's software. Once that has been done, you can visit http://start.vzw.com from your device and download BUA (Backup Assistant). When you download, be sure "set application permissions" is checked. Once installed, be sure to set all permissions to "Allow."
