Yes it's always been an issue. Some days it's fine, and some days it's slow. When messages have images it's especially slow, but messages with just text can also be slow. Makes no different whether other apps are open on the computer - tried both and it's a super computer anyway. Message+ version 2.5.0. Does not show updates available.
