Just found out that: "I would be using my base data allowance (2GB)  for  the month before the carryover (1.9GB) of last month  instead of vice versa" Verizon explanation via chat representative: "For example. your allowance is 2GB and you used 1.5GB. 0.500GB will be carried over the next month. Then on the next month, you used 1GB. The 1Gb is the one that would be carried over the next month." This policy/process seems like a customers' bluff to make them think that the benefit is bigger than it is. It is not a natural flow, not as easy to implement and understand as just using older data allowance first. With current process, how do customers feel treated: Misled, irritated headache, having to plan ahead the heavy usage mo, to go on a data diet the mo before. Yet they still can maximize data used by NOT using Verizon data (and find alternatives for that mo) for 1 month then use the double (4GB on 2GB monthly allowance) for next mo. and What does Verizon gain, in doing so instead of simply providing the monthly allowance over a max of 2 mo period : Customers feeling cheated with this new benefit (they would have been fine accepting no carryover benefits) Not having to provide service for the carryover data for the months of below-allowance usages. However Verizon still have to provide the same maximum possible data over any period of time without: customers feeling cheated being mayby not as easy to implement The possible peak and valley demands if the majority of customers decide to choose the same absentee-month
