Thanks for looking into this, much appreciated! Yes, incredibly frustrating because the few reports I came across from Verizon V10 users who installed the update had no issue, and also reporting an improved fingerprint scanner. The whole ordeal took another frustrating turn Friday night after finally giving in and calling Verizon's tech support. I started off the call by saying, "I need a replacement device" and went on explaining all the steps I took and every step resulted in a failed update. After roughly 90 minutes or so, Verizon finally decided to send another device. The call included all the steps I already performed, a call to LG who directed us to Google who never answered. I am hoping the device I receive today is good to go and the update installs with no issue. I could just have a bad device because I have been complaining about the battery life since day one, but no one else seems to be having battery issues? I did some research as well after seeing error code 402 under system updates and came across another old forum where S3 users were having the same problem and seeing the same error and from what I read, there was never a fix and phones were eventually replaced. Normally, I would be okay with a refurbished phone as long as it works, but this phone is only a month old and who knows why the phone I will be receiving today was returned initially...not to mention, the set up on this phone is very time consuming. I have had several Samsung, HTC and Motorola devices previously and this phone takes the cake on amount of time to set up, lol. Irrelevant to the topic at hand, just a quick vent

Local meaning internal, correct? If so, now 47+ GB (did a factory reset). Tried again after resetting the phone and the same thing. I tried updating the phone thru Verizon's Software Upgrade Assistant and under the status, it says the device is up to date? I confirmed the software is still under version 10B, should be 11B if truly up to date.

Hate to perform a factory reset but it may come to that because 2 of the issues mentioned in the change log are issues I have been experiencing.

Read on a website that Verizon pushed an update to the V10 and so far, I have downloaded it 3 times and each time, the installation failed after 3% of attempting to install. Each time, I receive the following error, then the phone restarts; Err: 0x1123004 When the phone finally boots back up, I receive a popup stating: Sorry, there was a problem updating your LGVS990. No changes were made. Please try again or you can upgrade using the Software Upgrade Assistant from your computer. I got into settings, then System Updates and see under LAST SYSTEM UPDATE: Software not updated to 11B. Error: 402 Have not tried the SUA yet, but called Tech Support who was not even aware an update was pushed out, and couldn't help me because I was not calling from an authorized number? Anyone else try to update their V10?
I use Microsoft Exchange as well...just figured it was the screen time eating up my battery but will look into the settings.

Thanks Tidbits. I have Instagram installed, so would that be considered a wake lock? I checked the battery usage thru settings and see Instagram uses about 2%, but always running, which is what I think you're saying. Google Services seems to be consuming a lot of battery as well (18%). After a little research, looks like it uses GPS heavily when an app requests your location? The suggested fix was to change the Mode to "Battery Saving", it was previously on High Accuracy so we will see if that helps because I navigate a lot, so will need to keep GPS on. A couple of days ago I used the device until the battery completely drained, which was almost 14 hours of moderate use...would that be considered a full day? It just happen to be a day that began at 3am and ended about 8pm that night. On the N4, it was usually no problem the phone lasting that period of time, so am not sure if there are additional tweaks needed or if LG is just not as strong in that area. Thanks again for your feedback!

I do not have a long list of gripes about this device...I feel LG thought of everything and attempted to put it all into one device and am pleased after 3+ weeks of use after coming from the Note 4 and its horrendous take on LP, but even with the lack of 5.1 or 6.0 on the Note 4, the battery life was great! The LG V10, not so much unfortunately. This is my first LG device and what I am experiencing could the be norm offering from LG, but either way, very disappointing. I have yet to exceed 3 hours of screen on time, whether auto brightness is on and aggressive as it is, or off and left at a set percentage. Did some research and only the obvious was suggested, such as turning off GPS, WiFi, stop running apps and of course, turning off auto brightness....which is a drag because there is no middle ground with the screen brightness...its either too dim for outdoors (Phoenix,AZ where is always sunny), or blinds you indoors so you're constantly adjusting the brightness which I feel is just as battery impacting as leaving the auto brightness on in the first place, but even then, its way too aggressive and once a hint of darkness is detected, brightness goes all the way down to zero. The other relative complaint I have is not about the phone, but rather the lack of accessories for this device. A battery case would solve my one issue, but non existent? Sure, the extra battery and cradle are on their way but LG immediately offering these accessories for free actually indicates LG knew this was not a battery friendly device. There is not much news on the V10, only the G4 and seeing similar stories. There just seems to be no way around this screen consuming so much of the battery, unless you sacrifice brightness and do not mind struggling to make out whats on the screen. Is anyone else having battery life issues? Anyone know of a battery case available for the V10, or if we can expect one soon?

Thank you @Jjahn01, this is very helpful because I was thinking I could buy that same Nexus on Amazon you mentioned and be good to go. It be a huge disappointment if 5.1 is the last update the Note 4 sees, because I think this may be the last great Note from Samsung since many (including myself) rely on additional storage and swapping the battery. Thanks again

I do have a question, and did not see a Nexus 6 thread so hopefully I do not redirect the topic at hand With Mm released, does this mean the Verizon variant of the Nexus 6 will receive Mm immediately, or will Verizon keep the OTA update in their back pocket like they are currently doing with 5.1 and the Note 4? Seriously considering a Nexus device and was not sure if the same rules applied for OTA updates when it comes to Nexus. Thanks

Just a thought...wondering if the delay is due to the Note 5 because, IMO, not much separates the N4 and N5 in performance for the average user so if both were running 5.1, then people might prefer the N4 since it would most likely be cheaper since its a generation old, and it has a larger/removable battery and expandable storage. Since the N5 ditched a few benefits people prefer, maybe its only selling point is 5.1 and pretty, fingerprint magnet glass? haha, just IMO
Maybe the delay is due to Verizon trying to update the boot screen with their nifty new logo?
Bummer
