When I am in the vicinity of my granddaughter's school my cell phone is not getting an internet connection.  This is a recent development because just two weeks ago it was working fine.  I tried to find out how to turn off 5g in the hope that maybe I would get a 4g signal but that didn't work.  I have a new Samsung S23 Ultra that I've only had for about 3 weeks and my wife is having the same problem with her similar phone.  As soon as I get about a half a block away, the internet starts working again.

I am making this post in case someone else has the same issue I had after changing to a new phone.  I was unable to setup my voicemail.  Every time I tried to set it up, I received a message that said "something went wrong" (very helpful, I know).  I happened to be looking at my status bar while trying to figure it out and notice the VPN icon!  Then I realized that maybe it was the VPN interfering.  I opened my NordVPN app and added the VoiceMail app to the list of apps allowed by the split tunnel option and then I was able to set it up.  Hopefully, this will help someone else having this problem.

I have had the same problem on two separate desktops.  The problem is that the app is a resource hog.  When it was installed on my laptop I allowed it to go to sleep.  Then when I woke it up to use it, it did not become useable at all until I forceably rebooted it.  I uninstalled the app and never had the problem again.  I tried using it several months ago with the same issue so I uninstalled it and just tried again a couple of weeks ago hoping it had been fixed. The other computer (at work) has 16GB or RAM, an Intel Xeon CPU E5-2637 v2 @3.5 GHz (2 processors) and Message Plus also brought it to it's knees.      I complained about my problem to Verizon but the person that looked at my issue apparently doesn't speak English or is a technically challenged person who shouldn't be working in the field.  I described my problem as being a CPU hog and the technician seemed to think I was complaining about storage space or something.  The last reply I got from them did not allow me to reply so I guess they didn't want to hear from me about it anymore.  Anyway, I am still using the web application.  I can't believe other people aren't complaining about this but maybe they are just silently going back to the web app which works fairly well.

I really like using Message+ on my pc, especially at work.  I can't install the desktop version at work but I tried it at home and it just kills my PC.  I have a relatively late model laptop with an I7, a hybrid 7200 rpm drive and 8Gb of ram so I don't think my laptop hardware is inadequate.  I tried the desktop version about a year ago with the same result.  When I have Message+ running on my laptop, it just hogs my CPU.  Once it gets done syncing (I guess that's what it's doing) it seems ok.  I know it's not my network as I run 2 screens of video streaming such as Amazon Video or Netflix all the time and there isn't even so much as a slight buffering problem.  My network uses 80211.ac and I have a very good connection through Cox.  The last time I woke my laptop after only being asleep for about an hour, I waited more than 10 minutes for the logon screen to appear.  Eventually, I had to reboot to get it working.  When I did get it working again it took an unusually long time to get to the desktop screen.  I can't afford to wait around for such a long time in order to have the convenience of using the desktop app.      The web version does not behave this way but I don't like having to sign in all the time. I also like the idea that the desktop version comes up automatically when I restart my computer.  It's just not worth the wait. Has anyone else found  a solution for this besides uninstalling?
