I updated my samsung galaxy 4 yesterday, so far I'm not impressed! The biggest thing for me is the vibration for emails, despite the fact that I do not have the option checked in settings my phone continues to vibrate every time I get a new message. Which is quite annoying when your phone goes off several times through the night just for emails. I can not turn off my wireless so that's not an option, I need to be reachable by text or phone at all times. I don't want to turn off the notifications altogether either, throughout the day I'm Always looking for certain emails to come through, and turning off all notifications turns off the email icon as well! Second thing that's bothering me is the texts showing up on the locked screen. I liked the preview that has always popped up across my phone and then it changes to the message icon after that. I do not like that anyone can just pick up my phone and see who's texting me, it's no one business. I do have a password set so they can't read them but I still don't like the names appearing on the locked screen. The icon was perfect! Third thing is the locked screen password input, my phone seems to run slower and doesn't respond as well to the new screen. And at least on my phone it's also hard to see the asterisks for my password. The only good thing I've found so far for this update is I like the new setup of my photos gallery it's laid out nicer and it's easier to upload to Facebook. That being said the other issues aggravate me dearly especially the email one. I can adapt to the others but the email vibration has got to go!
