Once again, I solve my own problem. It would seem that Android is mistaking the fact that Wi-Fi is enabled and connected to something as it being on Wi-Fi for a data connection. As a result, it disables 3G and 1x accordingly, since, once again, Android assumes you are using Wi-Fi for internet access, when in reality you are just using it to connect your computer to your phone for tethering. Want a solution? Wait for an update (which is always fun), or downgrade.
