The Droid Turbo 2 Software Update was released on October 3rd. You will get it, not all at once, but you will. It is in fact issued OTA in batches, and there is no way to tell when you will get it, but you will soon. Most of the time if it is on hold it's due to something being broken. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want an SW update if it was broken.

This is a known issue however your in luck because there is a fix. Completely deplete your battery to 0%. You should be getting the battery indicator with the charging cable below it when attempting to turn on. Then, plug it into an AC power source, and completely charge the battery to 100%, but do not leave it on longer. Then unplug, deplete it to 0%, then charge to 100% again. This should help. Some tips: Avoid exposing iPhone to extreme heat and cold. For the first 3 charge cycles, fully charge the battery overnight and allow it to fully discharge before recharging (battery conditioning). Charge and re-condition a battery after an extended idle period. A lithium-ion battery may be damaged by extensive overcharging (continuously on a charger for more than 24 hours). Use the battery. If possible, avoid letting your battery sit idle for long periods of time. Use only the phone options and accessories that are really needed. Closing unused apps running in the background is another way to help save battery life. Another way to help save battery life is to monitor battery-consuming features like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, background data sync, and screen brightness.

Well yes you can. I am happy to show you what happens when you Trade In. Verizon Wireless Trade-In Program: It's time to upgrade and you have an old phone now that you can trade in for credit! Woo! Most of the time, if you trade in you are taking a part of a Trade In Promotion which can include the expired iPhone 7 for as low as $0. You trade in your phone, and in return, you get trailing credits towards the newest iPhone. BUT this isn't always the case (your situation for example). If you are trading it in and get $85 (which is the Fair Market Value) of the phone, you may want to just sell it. Selling It: If you choose to sell it, you can sell it based on the functionality and appearance of the device. If it is in perfect condition, you can sell it for $200+ on sites like Craigslist, Swappa, etc. You can also sell it on Facebook! If it is in poor condition you MUST disclose this on the sale. Cracks, scratches, water damage, hardware alteration, unreasonable wear and tear, etc, must all be visible in the photos of the phone. When selling a phone, do not get scammed. A lot of people sell the phone and the person takes it and runs. Just be careful.
I would suggest backing up the device, factory restoring it, and then trying to update BEFORE restoring your stuff to the phone.

That's a great question! There are a few cases where the monthly trailing credits would stop, but there are a few situation where they will not. Check out below to see what change can happen and what would happen because of that: AOL (Assumption of Liability)/TYS (Transfer Your Service) to another customer ID (or account) would stop the monthly credits. Device Buyout: Credits would stop (since there is nothing to credit) Line with the loan is canceled (resulting in a forced buyout): Credits would stop since the loan (device payment) was cancelled. Loan is canceled: Credits would stop since once again the loan was stopped. This would be in the case you return the phone, resulting in the loan cancelling (but the line is still active). 24-month device payment is fulfilled: Once you complete the 24 month agreement, credits would stop since there is nothing left to credit. MEID change: No (as long as the loan remains active). You can change out the device, but as long as you leave the loan active you will still receive the monthly credits for the loan. So, all in all, you can change the SIM card since the SIM card has nothing to do with the promotion. As long as you don't break the agreement, you don't have anything to worry about. Acrillix

What application are you using? There is the standard Samsung Messaging (the yellow icon) and there is Verizon Messages+ (the red one). There is also Google Hangouts, as well as Messenger (FaceBook Messenger). If you switch in between the four apps, it asks if you want to set one as the default messenger. To set a messaging application as default: Settings>Application>Default Applications>Select your default messaging service (mine is Messages+). This should resolve your issue. Acrillix

Upgrading your device is every two years. You are eligible to upgrade to a new device, and can purchase a Galaxy S6 if you want to. There are a few options for upgrading, and I will explain each below. Two Year Contract: The 2 Year Contract means you sign a contract between yourself and Verizon Wireless saying that you will retain service with that Line of Service for a minimum of 2 years (24 months). If you disconnect the Line of Service before the two years, you are subject to an Early Termination Fee which decreases over time ($10/month) and starts at $350. If you wish to upgrade, you would need to wait the full two years. This means insurance is critical in the event that you lose, get stolen, or damage your device. Device Payment Plan (DPP): The Device Payment Plan is the newest part of the upgrade process. It used to be called "The Edge Program" but that has been retired and renamed "Device Payment Plan". It is different from the 2 year contract because you sign an agreement that you will pay the entire retail price of the device over 24 months in monthly installments. There are a few perks of this VS the 2 Year Contract. One perk is if you purchase a new device (usually within the first month) you can get a 50% agreement. This means you still have a 24 month agreement, but you only have to pay 50% of it (12 months). You then trade in your phone and can get a new one. This is similar to Apple's Loyalty Program (upgrade to a new iPhone every year). If you buy a new device (within first two months) you can get a 75% agreement where you pay off 18 months of the agreement. You then trade in your phone and upgrade to a new device. The other perk is if you want to upgrade early (and have a 100% agreement) you can buyout the device (pay off the remaining balance) and get a new phone. Retail Price: Upgrading and purchasing a device at retail is only beneficial if you just ran into a lot of extra money. Since most devices are upwards of $700+ this is not usually the most viable option, but is there if you want to do that.

The FCC demands that all 4G devices, regardless of carrier is unlocked. One thing you should keep in mind is that compatibility is the biggest issue overseas. The reason is because the phone is made to specifically run on VZW towers, and not Vodafone, Movistar, Telefonica etc. The good thing is if you have an Apple device, those are typically interchangeable and usually don't have too much of an issue.

The good news: You have options. If you have insurance with Asurion you can file a claim. Depending on the phone the deductible will differ. You can purchase a temporary phone (if your upgrade is not close) on Craigslist or eBay. **NOTE** Ensure you ask for the full ESN (Electronic Serial Number), IMEI (Hardware ID of GSM/LTE supported device. Similar to a MEID in CDMA), MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier is a 14-digit hexadecimal character used to identify a device), and ICCID (Physical ID of the UICC, also referred to as the SIM card).  Call VZW and check to see if it's already assigned to an account and or is stolen/lost. Do not allow yourself to get cheated. You can also upgrade. Sometimes VZW will allow early upgrades if you are on 2 year contract and agree to move to Device Payment Plan. If you are on DPP, you can also buyout your phone and upgrade.
