I recently moved to a rural location in Wisconsin and now have very limited text and phone coverage. This site is 5 miles from a major interstate. This is also a major tourist area and has a lot of second home folks so the population will not reflect this in its numbers. Question is how can this area be evaluated for additional cell tower installs? Verizon has an opportunity here and I hope they at least look at the opportunity if not step up and support this community.

Keep in mind that once Verizon has decided upon a piece of property to erect a tower, the process to achieve local government approval for the construction of the tower can take years to gain approval due to local environmental/NIMBY groups opposing such construction on a regular basis.
I know where I live some carriers have been attempting to erect towers in low signal areas for over 10 years.
Having the coverage you deserve is extremely important. Thanks for the explanation as that does help. I will include a link below for acquiring a cell tower in your local area as well as the evaluation criteria. I do hope you find this information to be useful and that it proves beneficial. There will also be a real estate inquiry form included on this site which will also help to get the ball rolling. Best wishes! http://vz.to/1McRPKB
