What happened to customer service?

I been with verizon for over 12 years and it seen like the bigger they get, the less they care about the individual. I have 4 lines and I was looking to upgrade 2 line today. I asked if there was any special on the data plans and the 1st agent looked for 5min and the said he could find anything. As we talked he transfer me to someone else from tech support and I told him the same story. Talking to people over the phone is like talking to a brick wall. I still wasn't able to get anything resolved. I guess I'm going to take my business to AT&T and get a plan close enough to the one I have with verizon for $20 cheaper.

Hm, unsure why you need any "Special" just because you have been a customer for twelve years on the best network in the nation. My family has been with this company before it was Verizon and beyond and all we expect is the amazing quality that we have come to know. I can guess you have been shopping at the same grocery store for awhile, ever ask them for a "Special" on Milk? Or how about your Gas or Electric company? Ever ask them for a "Special"? I can imagine if they did they would just laugh in your face. At least the reps took a moment to look for you. We are lucky to ever have any "Specials" ever, seems selfish just to expect one just because you have been there so long. It is a give and take business choice, you pay them for a service and they give you their service, equivalent exchange, why should one party be expected to give more than agreed upon? So go for it, go to a lower quality carrier and blame it on bad customer service just because you can't have your way.

So a representative told you there were no specials on data plans and it surprised you when another rep couldn't find any either?

I also just spoke with tech support, hoping to get a network extender due to a very weak signal in our area. We've been with them for 12 years as well and have 6 lines but they still wanted to charge an additional $299.00 for an extender. I am very disappointed in the excessive fees for what should be standard equipment to get normal signals. I'm so,sorry we dropped our landline now and we will also be looking at Sprint or AT&T for better service. Verizon does not have the same service they used to 😞

And you have been in the same location all twelve years?

We have been here for almost 8 years...I basically put up with the weak signal because we had a landline, but now it is a big problem. I usually only have 1 bar and calls are dropped or very sketchy. Not happy.

Lol, why is it Verizon's Fault that you "Put Up" with weak signal when you should have sought better service for your area?

Kokoszka, we certainly appreciate that you've been with us so long and don't want to see you go. We do have set rates for data plans. What data plan do you currently have? Have you ever reviewed your usage to see how much data you generally use? Complete a Usage Analysis to check http://vz.to/151a2Sm. You may also want to consider the Share Everything plan http://bit.ly/WaPxwj.

Szoom1,

"Putting up" with weak signal isn't even part of our vocabulary. After all, we want you enjoying it. May I ask which zip code you're located in? Others experiencing the same issues? Is this indoors only? And which model device is it? We can help!
